Big Bull is a past producing mine operated by Cominco (predecessor of Teck) from 1951-55, producing 350,450 tonnes. Chieftain completed a NI43-101 Technical Report in November 2010 and conducted exploration drilling in 2011 to increase confidence in, and expand, the known resource with 22 drillholes for a total of 8,527m. Chieftain has developed several exploration targets through the compilation of historical geological, geochemical and geophysical data including a recent 3D modeling of Induced Polarization data completed in 1993. The Big Bull deposit is not included in the December 2012 Feasibility Study for the Tulsequah Chief Project, with further drilling, technical evaluations and studies required to advance the project beyond that of a resource.
